It’s not a coincidence that the Penguins played one of their most complete games of the year with more of the kids in the lineup. You could tell the vets fed off them, especially when the Kindel line first took the ice. The result of this game was hardly ever in doubt.

Tommy Novak is a player you can use in virtually any situation. He’s always been a crafty playmaker, but his release is super underrated, as seen there. He’s been fabulous in his last few games.

The problem isn’t that they dealt him. They weren’t gonna pay him. It’s that they didn’t even attempt to replace him IMO.
