As a kid I got a wire crossed between that song and this weird-ass picture book that I had one of those fascination-horror relationships with as a very small child so had an extra layer of trippy weirdness for me...

Had this book as a kid and it always felt a little unfair that it told you what to do if you are afraid of the dark but not what to do if you're afraid of the weird clown lady taking her face off to reveal the void within

A part of me said "you've taken a million photos of wood ducks, what's the point" but they're just too pretty in their breeding plumage to not point a camera at, so glad I did as I really love the pose and movement and personality captured in this one the other weekend
