Healthcare is a basic human right.

My dad trained as a neurosurgeon in the late ‘50s and they were still studying the long term neurological effects of the Spanish flu.

Also, at the rates Harvard charges students, there should never be a need for fundraising of any variety, never mind fundraising from known creeps.

Academia is such a shining example of how capitalism fails the average human.

Going places when sick is a big part of the problem.

We need to, as a society, stop rewarding people for being in public spaces when they are sick.

We need to, as a society, start rewarding people for staying home when sick. We need paid sick days. We need to better use tech to work remotely.

Arguably, the ppl in healthcare refusing to mask won't let themselves admit to wrongdoings/ poor decisions at this stage because it means they would have to admit to the damage they caused innocent people, very likely including the babies and seniors in their own families.

I've just received access to healthcare for the 1st time in 10 years, so to say I'm disappointed that I didn't die for the last decade only to let my brand-new healthcare team not give a flying fuck about an ongoing airborne pandemic is an understatement only matched by society's downplay of covid.

In general public, I have an appreciation for ppl having different comprehensions of a global pandemic, effects of it, and preventative methods.

When I enter a healthcare building filled with workers who paid crazy money to receive scientific enducations, I expect them to make better choices.
