According to survey data from the DOJ itself, incarcerated trans Americans experience sexual violence at more than 12x the rate of other incarcerated people.

The plans outlined in the memo effectively greenlight discrimination against LGBTQIA+ people who are already disproportionately at risk.

It can be done but only rather weakly. It's not worth the lack of safety in the other seats to push for one more, at least half the seats could easily be lost in an unfavorable election otherwise.

I don't want to just say they were more reckless and stupid, but that's pretty much what I saw in my little corner of the world. The students a bit older than me were not like this, and the cutoff is pretty much right at that cohort divide you mentioned.

as a 24 year old, the school years about two years below mine and on were always significantly less academically successful, as well as getting in trouble more. teachers would retire literally every year I was in school to avoid them, going back to the late 2000s. it was known long before Covid.

Yeah there's a weird swath across Central Virginia of localities that shifted* D from 2020 to 2024. It sticks out on a very red national map. Kinda neat, for what it's worth I don't remember any rain a bit to the south either, so I don't think it was just bad Election Day weather.
