The first day's progress so far isn't too bad at all. Undercoated the entire platoon and then blocked in the uniform colours, belts, webbing, helmets, boots and weapons.

'C' Squad are now built, as is a platoon medic. 2nd Platoon are now ready to be painted, which I'll start on Monday. The aim will be to get all 3 squads and the Political Officers finished by the end of next weekend. A fun little challenge for myself! 😅👍

Picked up some scenic looking scifi casualties from Etsy, for use with my own campaign.
This is the first of 8 miniatures I got and I have to say, they're excellent sculpts. I don't think much of his diet: Coke, Irn Bru and Tea! 😅

Managed a bit of painting today and got the main body and tyres painted. I also added a highlight to the doors, wheel arches and bonnet.
Should get it finished tomorrow. 👍

After many frustrating hours, the Katyusha is built! 😅 I've left a door off so I can give the cab a coat of paint & then get the painted driver in. The rocket assembly is also not glued in place for ease of painting.

My @warlordgames.com T34 is finished.
A very good kit to build. My only issue was the crewman's hands don't sit flat, so I added a bit of snow effects so they made better contact with the turret.
Nevertheless, a good vehicle to paint. 👍

The Automatons are finished! These chaps were fun to build and a lot of fun to paint. I went with a Borg sort of look and kept the fleshy bits a very muted colour.
I imagine they would fit quite nicely within a 40k servitor type role too. 👍

I really enjoy painting @WarlordGames's Resin miniatures. The details are very crisp and the paint goes on a treat.

I found painting this one slightly poignant.
Olga Kovalyova was a female steelworker in the Battle of Stalingrad who took up arms to defend the city, brandishing a submachine gun and a flag to inspire her comrades. She would be killed in action in Aug 1942.

I painted up another 6-man squad of US Inf for my K47 army. I really enjoy painting WW2 miniatures, which I didn't think I would. I also love the faces of these chaps, so much character!
I particularly like the head of the bloke with the BAR, having a sly fag.👍

I made a second tile. I'm pretty happy with the results, so I'll pick up some more at some point, once I've planned out what I want.
For starters I'll want a bridge, engineering, canteen and some adjoining corridors... 🤔

The 42nd (Highland) Regiment of Foot, or simply the Black Watch, are my second favourite painted Regiment. I enjoyed painting them so much, I decided to take 2 four base units and amalgamated them into one (minus the second command base ofc). 👍

Of all the Warlord Epic Scale minis I've painted, I think the 95th Rifles are my favourite. They're such an iconic unit, and one that featured in so many people's teens, thanks to Bernard Cornwell's Sharpe series. It's the reason I had to feature a Sharpe & Harper in my unit!
