(Followed *very* closely by an excellent post on user stories by @curiousscutter.bsky.social I should add.)

This piece on trauma-informed content by @traumainformedcontent.com is great. It explains what it is and why it matters. And there are practical examples that help you understand what it looks like in practice. I've worked in this area for the last 2–3 years and this all rings true to me.

This post on user stories by @curiousscutter.bsky.social is ace. It's a great refresher for content design bods. It's also a fantastic intro for organisations who want to make sure their content is actually, you know, helping people do what they need to do.

It is currently published as a PDF, but by crikey did I spend a lot of time trying to persuade everyone to publish it as HTML web pages. Fingers crossed that happens at some point. 🤞

It's a chunky piece of guidance to help nature reserves and other land owners create and manage accessible outdoor spaces. I did it in partnership with Sarah Clarke, who is not on Bluesky, but is on LinkedIn! She did most of the research. I did most of the writing.

I made the assumption speakers were paid tbh. 😬

This is exactly the reply I was looking for. 😂

Also, thank you. Very kind.

I say this while also being deep in the weeds on properly gritty content work. Which is, to be fair, more important.

I do the production from home now. I start the day with nothing. The two race reporters find and interview riders on the road during the day. I get the (sometimes many) audio files, piece it all together, write a script, record the narration, do a final edit. Make a 35-minute documentary. Every day.

When I say bonkers, what I mean is the winner cycled 1860km and climbed around 40,000m in five and a bit days. That's an average of 323km a day cycled in the actual Pyrenees mountains. Day 5 was a good episode.
