Today saw the second run of a bio-mass train which sets to be a welcome regular working on the Brigg Line on Saturdays only.

66074 makes its way over the B1206 at Hibaldstow level crossing, towards the summit at Kirton Lime Sidings, 171 ft. above sea level.

Thank you to Modern Railways who invited us to attend the Public Transport in the North event in Manchester yesterday.

Fantastic speakers, highlighting the importance of railways in the community.

At the networking part, many people were shocked at the current state that our line finds itself in.

Northern Rail railbus 144006, crosses over the level crossing at Northorpe near Kirton in Lindsay on the Brigg line at 5mph, on Saturday 7th March 2020.

The crossing gates were life expired, and were replaced with new barriers and lights soon after.

Happy Retirement.

In 2020 Northern Railway Sheffield based guard Robin retired after nearly 50 years railway service.

He was pictured at Brigg as his last ever duty was on the Brigg Line 👍

On This Day.

150134 arrives at Brigg on the 21st November 1991 with a Sheffield Midland service.

The line had a 6 day a week service at this point.

Those with an eagle eye will notice tannoy speakers underneath the footbridge, announcements were made by the signaller.

Its summer 1984, and on virtually every Sunday somewhere along the Brigg Line there was action.

37132 straddles Brigg level crossing with an engineers train, after being involved in work to single the line between Brigg and Wrawby Junction.
