i still haven't finished that purple loid and yor drawing- i want to try redoing the pose/composition... but i'll definitely finish it

i'm getting that feeling again, like i'll end up drawing in a different way than i have before 🤔

i think my favorite type of illustration style is abstract and pretty, but i know that people really love drawings that tell stories... which don't *really* need to be pretty... and i'm the same way-

i want to draw them looking really pretty, but it also need to have a story... aigoo 😵‍💫

1. i need to watch some videos to understand what that shading technique is... they don't exactly teach us in class how to do it...

2. i'm not doing a good job of measuring for accurate proportions 🤦‍♀️ i'm kinda just winging it... i sacrifice quality for speed 🥲

for my first time, i'm so shocked 😭😭😭 i think charcoal is so unpredictable but fun to work with when it comes to people!

first day of figure drawing: "my drawing pad... it's so precious, i must make sure it doesn't bend and carry it carefully"

therefore, while i'm SUPER excited about SXF's release, i decided to direct the time off i had towards improving the comfort of my my office/desk, cleaning, and redecorating for future purposes because i have a lot of new hobbies... 🥹 best random decision ever!!!

i didn't make many drawings lately because i burned myself out at work 😭 i pushed myself too hard by going to work when i'd only had 1-4 hours of sleep... that's really bad, but i just can't do morning hours. my orientation is day shift for 8 weeks, and i'm on week 6.

it's taken a toll on my body 😔

i really love making the messy sketches (WIP), and then, completely remastering my own painting... i used to avoid it because i didn't want it to seem like it was finished, but i think i've painted enough of them for people to know i haven't finished yet...! it's super fun drawing that way 🥹

my dream goal is just to get really good at nursing, to the point where it's like second nature. that way, i can focus on my own interests more. getting that ICU experience is super helpful too. and at some point, i could pick up a better schedule to focus more on my interests...! i can do it 😋

why did i have to pick the field of nursing where knowing absolutely everything is the most ideal and perfect state of being, except, you absolutely can't know everything- and you have to ask everyone for advice AND call doctors telling them you don't know what to do? 🙂 LOL
