Nationaal Militair Museum. Het oude terrein van militaire vliegbasis Soesterberg is omgevormd in een natuurgebied van Utrechts landschap. Omdat daar nooit mensen mochten komen, is de natuur daar interessant ontwikkeld.

Je kunt het gebied in vanaf de parkeerplaats van het NMM.

Flora: het natuurgebied rondom het NMM in Soesterberg
Landschappelijk: Stille kern Zeewolde met konikpaarden en moerasbos en waterpartijen
Vogels: Harderbroek of Randmeren (Knardijk) tussen Zeewolde en Harderwijk in de winter

Het is zo belangrijk om deze informatie keer op keer te benadrukken, want elke keer hoor ik weer wilde vogels de schuld krijgen van iets wat de bio industrie veroorzaakt heeft. Vogelgriep wordt door bepaalde boeren zelfs gebruikt als argument om geen weidevogelgebieden in de buurt te krijgen.

In the Netherlands the main reaction was always "Oh? weather like southern France would be great! Just like on holidays" (completely ignoring the ecological impact) and now it turns out we have a massive chance our weather will turn into that of Iceland when the AMOC stops 🤡
