@signorz you can use a Mastodon account to login but it is just for authenticating with Mastodon, you do still get an entirely separate pixelfed account.

@signorz to use it with Mastodon you can look up Pixelfed accounts with the account search here and follow people that are on it. People on Pixelfed can do the same for any Mastodon account.

@DJGummikuh I don't know how many will disable them in the end but still going to be a while before you see the wider rollout since for now it's only select servers that use a version of Mastodon other than the latest stable one.
