IMAB-Qi is an England-wide research led by the University of Leicester and funded by the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) that aims to help patients take their medicines as prescribed.

📍Our third user testing session at Affinity care (Shipley Medical Practice)
We worked with GPs, nurses & pharmacists using IMAB-Qi in a simulated review to support medication adherence.

More symptoms ≠ better adherence.
A study found heart patients without symptoms took aspirin more regularly (77.3%) than those with angina (62.4%).

MPR or GAP? What’s the best way to measure medication adherence using prescription data?
A study by Vink et al. (2009) found both MPRY & GAP are effective, especially when calculated at the drug class level.

A review by Wali et al. found most trials score low on cultural competence (median 2.5/20). Only 1 out of 80 was demographically representative.
