Sadly, it has become more important to many to say bad things about Putin and seek revenge rather than to have the death and tragedy end.

Too many are increasingly advocating for a "polite" escalation of war, leading to more deaths, rather than taking tough, direct action for peace.

Ok, if Democrats want to win the next election, every time they have a press opportunity to spread their "message" they should have a hard look at CSPANS real time polling of how independents react.

One of the most disturbing trends in partisan politics is the assigning of beliefs.

It is as simple as person A saying I believe "XXX" and others telling person A that they can't believe that because it doesn't fit stereotypes.

It is a key tool in partisan debates.

Its usage may be why Dems lost.

J6 was a protest gone way to far.

The context many ignore is how for the year prior we were conditioned that pushing against police lines and destroying property was acceptable if you felt your cause just enough.

If anything positive came out it was the end of that escalating trend in protesting.

Hate to see such tragedy during the New Orleans celebration.

Be careful, about believing the initial leaks from the investigation.

The political FBI has already been wrong in their initial statement and wouldn't be surprised if many of the early leaks the press are reporting are also wrong.

Our current strategy towards the war in Ukraine is similar to the waning days of our involvement in the Vietnam war. Just expending bombs and ammo while feeding humans into a meat grinder, with no clear victory possible.

If Biden learned anything from Jimmy Carter it sadly wasn't leading to end war

Jimmy Carter was a great example of a life well lived.

He was a great human and left a legacy of kindness and service.

May he rest easy.

The current string of lies around blocking cancer research for kids is an ugly example of how broken and dishonest DC has become.

That exact bill passed the House months ago as a standalone bill. Democratic leadership in the Senate has been blocking it for months.

Now they use it as blackmail

So the blame game is going to try to blame those who voted to keep the government open for it shutting down.

197 Dems and 28 Reps voted to shutdown the government.

Now the speaker has to decide; spend more to win over 197 Dems or cut more to win over 28 Reps.

I am team shut it down.

I would be surprised if the government didn't shut down.

It's the only way to find out what services people didn't know they were missing.

Those are the ones Elon will say " see, no one noticed you were closed. Goodbye "

Only in DC.

Tonight and tomorrow, we will hear a bunch of politicians who voted to shutdown the government complain about the shutdown they voted for.

Elections were lost from messaging on platforms like this.

Where the R's vilify the far left they are friendly to the center and voters who are not binary in their policy views.
D's often vilify the center and take an all or nothing approach on discussing all their policies.

Swing votes matter.

Jan 6th escalated in a disturbing way, some consequences were deserved.

The fact that a portion of Congress launched an "investigation" where only the "Prosecution" side asked questions, call witness, and see the full testimony while not allowing "Defense" representation increased public distrust.

Where did 8 million Biden votes that Harris didn't get go?

Reps make the case that they never existed, that they were illegal ballot stuffing.

Dems say 8 million Biden voters were racist and sexist.

Swing voters are saying Dems pushed us away angrily saying they didn't want us.

Competition between social media companies is great for everyone.

I just hope that we don't get to the failure mode where every platform just becomes a dogmatic echo chamber of a narrow political & social narrative.

I'll keep pushing against that failure mode.

I love you all ❤

I admit to being a swing voter likes questions answered by those in power and with influence.

I fear this may be an echo chamber where questions to a specific dogma are not welcome.

The left has actively worked to push voters like me away, will they have learned?
December 1, 2024 at 6:07 PM
Is the left ready to have a conversation with independents and swing voters on what went wrong in the election, or is it still too early?
