The later models don't have anything wrong out the bottle; Einen, Toby, Rai, are 'perfect' but they're still just canine, or at least that's as far as we know. And Ben has always been fine, just basic.

Nikkos and Linus are captured by the enemy. To avoid spoilers for those reading IMPERIUM LUPII I'm avoiding specifics.

For the uninitiated, they're bound with Howler-wire, which is able to hold Howlers and their equivalent super-soldier counterparts. It's a thick wire, rather than a friable rope.
