I hate that I'm learning and growing faster than them when I'm so hobbled by my head injury that anyone should be able to outpace me!

It's particularly frustrating to me because, with my head injury slowing me down, I'm more dependent than previously on the people around me who are more woke than me to keep me from doing anything foolish.

So the people who can't think clearly are making the hard part harder in general and additionally harder for me personally, then passing that enshittified hard part off to me on the basis that I can think more clearly than them, even though I can't think more clearly than my past self.

The thing is - it's arrogant to say out loud, but also true and relevant - my thinking as it pertains to my work has always been significantly above average.

My head injury slowed me down noticeably, but I remained noticeably above average.

BUT...in 2018 I suffered a head injury that I've never fully recovered from. That made some aspects of thinking significantly more difficult.

Also, when I say I can still think clearly, that's not 100% accurate - I don't have Long COVID, I'm pretty sure I'm Novid (never tested positive, although did have a mysterious cough - but no other symptoms - after being required to remove my mask for an ID photo) I can think just as well as in 2019

Mildly surprised that people are "allowed" to have the surname Christ, by which I mean I would have expected that centuries ago, some church authority would have forced them to change it (or recorded it with a different spelling) on the grounds of causing confusion or taking the lord's name in vain
