The sun is still between the end and beginning, but light follows darkness as darkness light. In the light of winter forgiveness burns bright, as the old sun dies old wounds can heal. And the tallest trilithon marks the promise of hope and light.

Solstice Poem Some want to speed from autumn to spring and avoid the cold dark that winter can bring. Others turn inward in empty places, finding solace in long night's embraces. As earth takes a breath, soothed by stillness we pause. Enclosed within transformative night. Withdrawal an essential part of renewal. Darkness reveals it's gifts, as creation springs from nurtured dreams of what lies dormant. Fires we've kindled are a beacon. Burning brightly as the shortest day meets the longest night Let the dawn's come late and the sunsets early, before the slow turn to a season filled with light.
