Yesterday Congresswoman Adelita Grijalva (D-AZ) was sworn in by Speaker of the House Mike Johnson 5 weeks after she was elected to represent her state. Her swearing-in speech was fiery and inspiring.

She railed against Johnson and the delay in her swearing-in. "This is an abuse of power," she said.

Axios is reporting that Dems are caving on the shutdown, and that Schumer was “more involved” than was made public in these negotiations.

Following a temporary ruling in October, on Friday a federal judge issued a permanent injunction barring Trump from deploying the National Guard to Portland. The judge,
Karin J. Immergut, a Trump nominee, said "The President's determination was simply untethered to the facts."
