having knowing at least a little behind the scenes, the system rewards impotent losers who don't rock the boat and have things like "morals" and "opinions" and people who do tend to peak at around O4/O5 by the end of their careers. if they're brass, they already failed at having principles

Like even saying "you got what you voted for" is so hateful and exhausting a take, it screams privilege to even spend the energy to do it and spitefully rub people's noses in their own shit while they experience bias for sometimes the first time.
