I didn't mention it earlier, since I don't like to steal attention or anything like that, but today's my birthday!

I have like 5 more skill points left, but I think I'll come back to them later. With how close I am to platinuming Ratchet 1, I hope to at least finish that game off. But for the others? I'm just going to play them casually for now, for my own sanity

Holy hell, that sand mice skill point on Batalia is so annoying. You have to go back to the one sand mice summoner each time it disappears, ugh

Granted, the gold weapons and ryno make this grind way quicker, which is certainly nice, but still... If this is how I'm feeling about ratchet 1, maybe I shouldn't try and platinum the others?

I at the very least want the save data, so I can use it for 2 and 3, for weapons and discounts.

Like, I need to get a skill point where I turn a tank into a chicken with the morph o ray, and to do that, I need the o2 mask, so the poison doesn't hurt me.

Because I'm doing challenge mode, I have to go to pokitaru again, to get the mask again.

My hands honestly hurt from trying to do that damn hover board under 1:35:00 trophy. I'll have to grind at it later, I guess.

I'm also, unfortunately, getting kinda sick and tired of the game, since this is my 4th replay now? Having to get all the gadgets again is so irritating.

Trying to get the platinum trophy for Ratchet 1 (I'd like to eventually platinum all of the games), and I've gotten all the gold bolts, gold weapons, the ryno. At this point, it's just doing the skill points, and that horrible 1 million bolts trophy.

The latest update is like 4.92. IDK what model you have, but, PS3HEN has HFW available for that, so you can still mod it. Dunno about the CFW side of things tho

Piece of PS3 homebrew just to sort your games list alphabetically since that's not built into the os for God knows what reason.

It's a minor inconvenience, but still annoying none the less. I'm not sure if homebrew could even fix that.

I'm actually referring to the PS3 versions of the games. It's true the OpenGOAL ports aren't 100% perfect in that regard either, but they're way better off than the PS3 ports.

I'm only playing them for trophies, tbh

The same issues go for sound effects as well, with them generally just sounding off compared to the original releases on PS2.

Jak 3 might suffer less, since it uses streamed audio for the music, but I imagine the same issues with sound effects still apply. Guess I'll find out.

The audio panning of the music is quite broken in 1 and 2 especially, which gives the impression of channels and instruments being missing, and in the case of Jak 2, I've heard some instruments play at the wrong sample rate outright. The bonk sound is also just the wrong sound entirely on Jak 2.

Christ, the Jak ports are baffling to me. Gameplay wise, they're like nearly perfect, minus the punch glitch that sometimes makes your punches go a random direction, and I swear also the jump dives.

But audio wise? Wow, they are SCUFFED compared to the PS2 originals, especially on headphones.

For anyone worried, the SSD is 1TB, and formatted, at 931GB, meaning system functions still work correctly. Honestly glad I knew about that before hand, as it would have sucked to buy a 2TB ssd for this, and have it not work right.

I threw an SSD into the console a few hours ago, and it's taking AGES to copy over all the data I backed up. Though I gave up copying the installed games, and I'll just reinstall the packages, even though that takes forever, in of itself.

For the first remake, I get that the original composers and masters were an enigma. But like, for World 2? David Logan is alive and well, still has everything, and probably would have been more than willing to work on the game, and do great new mixes of the music.

Re-PAC 2 just sounds like a cheap-

The music for Pac-Man World 2 Re-PAC is REALLY rough.

The transcriptions themselves aren't too bad, but several of the instruments are using more primitive, synthetic sounding samples than the 2002 original, and overall lack the punch the original game had.
