Consistent with a court order, Wisconsin legally loaded FoodShare payments to cards. Now, the Trump Administration has spent the last 48 hours making a last-ditch effort to yank those payments from nearly 700,000 Wisconsinites, including 270,000 kids. It's pathetic.

Desperate people do desperate things. This is a perfect incitement for a surge in thefts to survive, manifesting the “rampant crime” they used to justify the national Guard rollouts. The cruelty is the plan. And they get to kill healthcare and SNAP at the same time.

No. They refuse to yield on ACA subsidies. The people can have healthcare or food but not both. But at this point I think they’re saying you can’t have healthcare at all, period, it’s a nonstarter.
