Academic papers, we request a word count between 3000 and 5000 words. Bibliographies will be excluded from this word count.
Academic collaborations, we request a word count of between 2000 and 3000 words. Bibliographies will be excluded from this word count.
All other submissions, we have a flexible word count for these, but if you feel your word count will exceed 5000 words, please get in contact. Alt text: submission guidelines.

We request submissions are sent as Microsoft Word documents, using Times New Roman font in size 12 with double-lined spacing. We also request all referencing is done in Chicago Author-Date style. Dr Lauren Stephenson is a Senior Lecturer in Film & Media Studies. Her main area of interest is the Horror film. She completed her PhD in June 2018; her thesis explored the British 'Hoodie horror' film cycle & its treatment of gender & class.

Dr Morag Galloway is a Senior Lecturer at YSJ, currently engaged with autoethnographic research exploring the interrelationship of autobiography, psychotherapy, & narrative medicine using the body & viola. She is also conducting research into the Witch in Musical Theatre.
