I did not wear this out today for a way to start the @greenparty.org.uk conversation, but one happened, and I feel I did a decent job of clearing up some misconceptions. The difference between million and billion really does need to be made more often...

There is no point going too mad until I have more resources and space, so this is going to be a Work In Progress for a while. However, it has given me so much joy so far. SO MUCH JOY :D #Warcraft

My Dwarf Hunter, admiring the picture of Dalaran she obtained as a quest reward today. She is in her front Hallway, where planters line the walls.

Dinner is on the table in the dining room, food that she cooked herself. Items she foraged for and created. This pleases her greatly.

Her Kitchen needs work: some more produce, better colour co-ordination and more warmth. It will come with time, and thought, and planning.

The giant Dragon Skeleton in the stairwell will raise some eybrows, but she is from a different time. these things are here as reminders. Times change, and she must change with them... but Azeroth is again in danger...

A simple bedroom setup, with a bed, a side table and rug all dyed the same grey colour. A bird kite flies above the bed, and there is a backpack on the table.

An entranceway with twin trophy animal heads on each wall. There is a bear rug on the floor, and a rack of fishing rods. A planter sits, full of grass and flowers, with a green and purple banner on the wall.

I am begining to see #Warcraft #WoW Guild Housing setups appearing. My plan is to use my Horde house as a Vanity Guild HQ so I can send all my characters there to be together, even if they never are in reality!

Part 1 of this plan is beds. A bed for everybody.

A Horde double Bunk bed, in the style of Silvermoon Valley, with 2 hammocks tied to large wooden posts.

A Sturdy Alliance style bed, which can have its blanket dyed.

The front porch of my new Alliance home, which is not finished (it requires a matching Freywood trim on the left hand side of the main wall, on the other side of the door).I have matching hunter trophies there too. My Dwarf hunter stands on a circular rug.

This is the room in my Guild Hall where all the Alts will have their own bed, a space for their own belongings and a piece of history that accompanies their #Warcraft journey since creation.

From the outside:

My Guild Hall, in a Horde style, in a Public Neighbourhood on my Server. The plot is close to the coast and has a suspended walkway above it connecting two large rocky outcrops. The Hall has a large octagonal space in the middle of which is a chimney.

Good Morning fellow #PromptCombo Enjoyers, #ThisPoem is my warmup for the first day of December. When @victoriaspires.bsky.social said ‘try something different’… well, this is, and it simultaneously isn’t for me. As you’ll see, this one was enough of a spark that I began on the back of an envelope…

So, at 4.50 this morning my husband's common sense saved us a call out for a locksmith, the teenager from our bathroom, but was unable to save the door, but in fairness this lock has threatened this for months.

Fuck knows what would have happened if it was my husband trapped...

A large chunk cut out of a (largely) wooden door, to expose the lock that had broken and caused the bathroom door to get stuck.

not enough of them awake nobody looks up

easier to be obsessed with the petty callings
chickens wheat and beer their idea of life

as none of them consider here ever as a threat
tiles are permanence anything but lofty
I am reminded an assassin has her perks

freedom better wages and much higher stage
still as yet unheard of for a woman to pursue

another ceiling breaks as I look down on this town
quietly waiting as the target has appeared

walking in time as the church bells sound
it is time to take his life after Confession
the only appropriate retaliation for the same

the honour he extracted from my patron's wife
this becomes the job of retribution of exorcism

this becomes invisible a final price for strife
delivered with twin knives righteous from above
vengeance's angel never seen again

A reminder that this place is not the Promised Land, it’s still gameable and that before you engage with ANYONE, you should check if they are an actual human being and not a bot account. Looking at you, especially if you are copying cries for help or ‘donation’ accounts without due diligence first…

So, if you scroll down my feed, you'll see a post by @zackpolanski.bsky.social which cites an article from Spiked, the byline of which I now feel utterly compelled to respond to as a #poem.

Okay / let’s park the bus here / you and me are going to take / a moment to unwind / this latest attack on a man who remains / one of the few people in politics / right now for whom / being kind / matters more than scoring points.

It is the job of the Bourgeoisie / (that’s the middle class for you and me) / to stand between the rich and poor / traditionally mirroring a truth / that above them are the upper class / that everybody hates and very few aspire to be / hoarding all the money for themselves / and below them are the people who always need most help / it is the point therefore that to be angry / at injustice / poverty and war / is what the human race really should be for / except increasingly there are a few / who see themselves superior to all.

Populism amazingly / is not a made-up word / instead it would appear to be / ideology that paints our society as divided / into a binary / good and bad / where outcomes can only be defined as black or white / when actually it turns out that’s a construct too / the ‘us’ they claim now resents ‘you’ / celebrates diversity in multicoloured hues / knows the future is and always was / a Global majority’s concern / as on a daily basis / it is apparent / Colonialism still has a lot to learn.

Each journalist who chooses to expound / that they and they along are Right / could be making better use of time / that for every other human’s running out / they choose to ignore the rising temperatures / the Niger Delta / Human Rights being stripped / one group at a time / public land sold to Private Order / billions of lives in sharp decline / and as the Super Rich / concrete-line another bunker / we all can / we MUST do so much better / be kinder / than this.
