As far as the “clique” stuff in dubbing goes, most actors I know will think of VAs they already know or already work well with when casting projects - those same actors are also always open to new talent. It’s not “exclusive” or anything nefarious, just kind of how people work.

No one’s going to know you’re talented if other people aren’t aware of you. And if you’re difficult to work with, people talk.

Any industry is like that. Acting is just a lot more public than most, so when problems arise it’s more likely that people notice.
