Skeeting through it. Bacteria nerd from way back. What I write and repost reflects my own opinions and no one else’s. You pronounced this nonsense, not me.
Yes humanity has for millennia failed to raise healthy babies without a hallucination machine that boils the oceans to be often wrong and tells teenagers to off themselves.
Jimmy Fallon: "And do you use ChatGPT when raising your baby?"

Sam Altman: "I cannot imagine figuring out how to raise a newborn without ChatGPT."

First, the strike was so good and legal they immediately shared video.

Then, Hegseth wasn’t there/didn’t know about survivors.

Then, “sure we’ll release the second video.”

Now, no, we won’t release the video but the strike was totally fine. Also it was up to “them.”
POLITICO: Do you believe the second strike was necessary?

TRUMP: Uhhhh. Well it looked like they were trying to turn back over the boat. But I don't get involved in that. That's up to them.

Just want to reemphasize this. I know we don’t love Keller, but it’s really, really important to block Darren White from office.
If you live in Albuquerque, please go vote for Keller in the runoff even if you didn't in the general (I didn't).

He's lacking in some important areas but his White supremacist opponent will cause much more harm. It matters a lot.

Oh horseshit.

A colonel should be able to come up with a better lie than “we in the military don’t think too much about uniforms”
I asked SouthCom why it used a Jerusalem Cross in a post about an operation in which the Trump admin has killed at least 87 people in Caribbean/Pacific missile strikes.

“There is no other communication intent for this image” except showing soldiers “in a ready posture,” Col. Emanuel Ortiz told me.
US SouthCom a few tweets way from using a Sonnenrad patch in their imagery.

He’s such a coward
President Trump said he’ll let Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth decide whether to release the full video of a controversial strike on alleged drug smugglers off the coast of Venezuela, reversing his earlier claim to release any Pentagon footage.
Trump says Hegseth will decide whether to release boat strike video
The comments come after the president previously said his administration would release video of a controversial military operation, “no problem.”

Hey, Kids!
Can you say "misappropriation of government funds"? I'll bet you can!
Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem handed $10,000 checks to more than 20 Houston TSA agents at George Bush Intercontinental Airport Thursday, thanking them for working through the 43-day-long government shutdown.

Look, I’ll vote 100% for her or James Talarico in the general but why expend both of them in a single race that only one of them could possibly win

Which, to be clear, is a U.S. SENATE SEAT IN TEXAS and that would be great but is a long shot *in the best case scenario*

Democratic Rep. Jasmine Crockett is running for the US Senate in Texas. Allred to seek House seat
Crockett, one of Congress’ most outspoken Democrats and a frequent target of GOP attacks, jumped into the race on the final day of qualifying in Texas.

What is this high school debate shit?

Everyone wants peace!

Adults just realize that any peace which lasts beyond a Russian re-arming / recruitment cycle has to be on terms that don't reward Russia's initial invasion with land and legitimacy, and which meaningfully deter future aggression.

Atty Gen Bondi says they will appeal the ruling disqualifying Alina Habba as USA in NJ, and if that appeal succeeds, she'll be back on the job.

Of course, they don't *need* to appeal anything. President Trump can formally nominate her and have the Senate vote to confirm her after a hearing.

Saying Trump is “transactional” is just a gentle way of saying he’s corrupt. Every power he has been trusted with, he treats as a way to extract favors and benefits from anyone he sees as situationally vulnerable.

Supreme Court oral argument this morning, in sum

Sotomayor: you're asking us to destroy the foundation of government (derogatory)

Gorsuch: you're asking us to destroy the foundation of government (complimentary)

Oral arguments just wrapped up in Trump v. Slaughter. It is more likely that the New York Jets will win the Super Bowl this year than it is that the court won’t overturn Humphrey’s Executor.

Only question now is how much more damage the conservative justices do along the way.

also you know what else is dangerous to individual liberty? a totally unconstrained executive, which we're seeing right now thanks, in part, to kavanaugh's own actions as a justice!

the whole structure of this argument — independent agencies are politically unaccountable therefore the president must have removal power — treats congress as if it were a total nullity, or as if only the president truly represents the public.

hey a fun thing is that if congress is delegating authority to an independent agency then by definition that agency is not "unaccountable." it is still accountable to congress. and it is interesting (read: extremely frustrating) to me that these people just write congress out of existence here.
Kavanaugh: Broad delegations to unaccountable agencies are dangerous for individual liberty! We have used the major questions doctrine to prevent agencies from overreaching.

Sauer: MQD not a substitute for the removal power for the president
