Crime is a small fraction of what it was a generation ago and the guys who want to sell themselves as paragons of masculinity are scared shitless of what little remains.

Even as they live in places like Atherton which never had any crime to begin with.

The New York Times made a story out of thin air about Biden having Parkinson's because a related expert had visited the White House, who met with staff working on a program related to Parkinson's!

Then Trump got rid of visitor logs as well.

This was not Amazon’s preferred plan, I’m told.

Talks broke down with USPS over its plan to auction off last-mile delivery contracts rather than ink an extension with Amazon.

It’s a very aggressive move from the new postmaster general, Davis Steiner.

We scooped on his hiring back in May.
At Trump’s urging, USPS board to name FedEx official as postmaster general
David Steiner is a member of FedEx’s board and was previously the leader of sanitation company Waste Management.

I love wagons and part of the reason they're not popular in the US is that the federal government has been incentivizing SUVs instead via the CAFE loophole.

There's still a regular speed limit when the school zone speed limit is not in effect.

Yes the cameras should be full time. But if we're stuck with part time ones they should run at the most dangerous times!
December 4, 2025 at 1:44 PM
Yes, I'm trying to point out how asinine the part time cameras are to begin with.

Yeah but the majority stay all day, especially in K-8 (or 9 depending on how the schools are split up).

The speed limit is still 24/7 even if the cameras aren't.

Kids are inside of a substantial, often masonry building during school hours that protects them from cars.

I think speed cameras at schools should start operating at dismissal and continue through the start of classes the following morning.
