Ice Breaker is worth the ride if it comes back up. Has a bit of reliability issues tho, not surprised it's down rn.

Still trying to make good on this! I haven't forgotten, but also writing is hard.

I don't want to ruin it by saying something I can't hold to, but it's incredibly likely that I will have some short stories to share in the near to not-so-distant future and that excites me for the first time in ever.

Right there with you bud. I haven't consistently caught up with friends since 2020 it feels like. At least we have Commander games to look forward to.

I still need to get on Penguin Trek...

Welcome to the capitalist innovation museum we got

- scam machine
- psychosis inducing machine
- weapons of mass destruction
- button you push that makes the planet hotter
- markets that intentionally starve people
- clothes that fall apart after washing them 1 time
- medicine you can’t afford

Agreed. I made the mistake of giving it a listen and was treated to the most soulless and empty music I've heard in a long time.

Yooo what the fuck are the odds!? I was hunting for a Phosphene Katagawa's Revenge and ended up getting it AND the GMR IN THE SAME DROP!
Screenshot of Borderlands 4, a loot pile with 3 Legendary Weapons. Two of them have the rare Phosphene light beam, though in the screenshot it doesn't quite show on one of them. I used to think it was funny comparing drivers from different states and joking about who has the worst, but more and more I am realizing that there is absolutely a correct answer.

It's Florida and the competition is not even close.

Why do I always feel guilty about taking a lazy day to myself?

When the only good thing you can say to yourself is "at least we're not the Jets", you know something is wrong.

Just watched Weapons with @kaizakobold.bsky.social.

That was one hell of an experience. Insane, in a good way.

Yeah, this album is quite good. There are a couple moments I don't fully vibe with, but the majority of it is excellent. There is a big noise rock vibe to a lot of it, with some crust and sludge sprinkled in.

As someone who wasn't that impressed with their debut, I am with this one.

I just finished my first listen-through of Agriculture's new album, The Spiritual Sound. Wow. I'll need further listens to really take it all in, but this really impressed me on first listen.

I already know I like this a lot more than their debut.

Innern is top 10 for me so far. My new frontrunner is In Mourning, with Dormant Ordeal and Tomarum close behind.

Yeah it feels like that the closer to "mainstream" a metal band gets, the more likely they are to use this type of production technique.
izzywolfram.bsky.social
I think they'd really be great with the right production. They have this stompy, groovy style that could be great, but is absolutely blunted by how loud and crowded it is.
izzywolfram.bsky.social
The "loudness" wars need to fucking stop. If you think producing a metal album is done by compressing everything until it's hard to parse and then turning the volume way the fuck up, I think it's time to stop.

This new Orbit Culture album has some great moments, but it's almost unlistenable.

Yes, confirmed. No changes to the ride itself. Boarding requirements have changed regarding guests who are unable to board unassisted (iirc).

Stardust Racers reopens tomorrow. Okay, now to try and plan a day to get out to Epic Universe.
izzywolfram.bsky.social
That sucks to hear, what I saw of it looked great.
izzywolfram.bsky.social
I hope so. I hope I can somehow keep mustering my strength to get through this shitshow.
