HAZEL IS BACK HOME!!! A construction worker at a site just around the corner from us managed to get ahold of her and made a makeshift leash with some rope. She's gotten water, food and is currently decompressing in her crate. Seems mostly okay physically, maybe a couple of scrapes--vet later.
Hazel’s expanded her zone a bit, having been seen yesterday afternoon at Century and Aviation. Once again asking this be shared with folks in L.A., especially in Westchester, Inglewood and surrounding neighborhoods. Shareable Instagram post: www.instagram.com/reel/DQpBhSu...

Los Angeles/westside folks: Our foster dog, Hazel, got out tonight around 8:08 p.m., and we have not been able to locate her. Please keep an eye out--and if you see her, DO NOT CHASE. She is very timid and will not come to someone she doesn't know. PLEASE CALL/TEXT THE NUMBERS ON THE FLYER.

Fairly certain the majority of people complaining about Toby Huss as Dale don't realize Johnny Hardwick did like the first six episodes. We've now watched a couple Huss episodes and he's been great imo.

I cannot tell you how weird it is to find out the Padres gave up De Vries from your own article (the magic of prewrites).

Was there an NBA Finals game tonight? Elsewhere at Yahoo Sports, we were watching Shohei Ohtani's return to the pitching mound ⚾
Shohei Ohtani allows 1 run, throws 1 inning in 2025 pitching debut for Dodgers
Ohtani's return to the mound was an arduous navigation of San Diego’s first five hitters that featured breathtaking velocity with some shaky command.

Yahoo Sports was all over the most important sidebar story coming out of Pope Leo XIV's election today. @jackbaer.bsky.social doin' the work.
The Cubs claimed Chicago native Pope Leo XIV as a fan. His brother begs to differ
It's not every day you see an MLB team erroneously claim the pope.

Tried to write a breakdown of every way the Dodgers and MLB have compromised their claim as champions of Jackie Robinson's legacy in the past month.

Dodgers celebrate Jackie Robinson after saying nothing when it mattered
In response to a presidential administration lambasting baseball's greatest hero as a DEI story, MLB and the Dodgers have said very little.

Two players, two approaches—one explicitly laying out the political/personal motivations behind his decision, one simply stating he’d be elsewhere that day. Both totally valid as far as I’m concerned. Both men whose actions demonstrated greater moral fortitude than anyone on the Dodgers did today.

Will always remember the day the Los Angeles Dodgers removed the last shred of doubt that Jackie Robinson is a marketing asset and nothing else to them.

I asked Dave Roberts his thoughts on the Jackie Robinson DoD article removal on Sunday. He said he didn't know what happened, but he "should study up on it." "What I do know is he served our country ... I was there, I went to the base."

After the news of the WH visit today, I followed up.
