I'm very close to coming to the conclusion that even post prime Junkyard Dog was a perfectly competent pro wrestler and the newsletter types just hated that he wasn't doing HOT MOVES.
His footwork, positioning, and timing were very good. His strikes still looked good. He was totally fine in there.

I'm sorry what was the point of Moxley's long boring reign if the guy that beats him is gonna get a short reign. But right Mox's long bad reign was worth it for the payoff.
