Ahhhh overwhelmed in the best way 🫶 Thank you so so much, Jess!! 🧡 Incredibly lucky to get one-on-one time with you––your feedback and insights were so valuable, and it was so much fun learning from you 🥹🧡

That’s super encouraging to read! Thank you heaps, Demi! :) I’m so appreciative of your time, and I hope my story (hopefully) connects with you! 🫶

I had a few follow-ups Qs & completely forgot to ask!

1. Would you be open to an earlier draft? Self-edited, but admittedly has holes with the mystery (red herrings, clues, etc.) but willing to put in the work!

2. How do you about shortlisting your selection, please? & ultimately, your winner? :)

Thank you so much for sharing, Demi! I appreciate it heaps. :) 🙏

Mine is set in Manila, Philippines (not super small town!). But in an international school, so we'll get uber-wealthy Crazy Rich Asians vibes where the characters are all up in each other's business/are in the same circles 🤣

Ah, awesome! I have a colourful FMC suffering an identity crisis with her younger sibling inferiority complex, swears like a bogan (Aussie redneck??), is super into board games, escape rooms, tropical plants, dogs, coffee, and might have a secret sport/hobby she might whip out later 😆🌵☕️🐶🌊

I will do my best, at least! 🤣 #chronicoverthinker Thank you heaps again, Tiffany! 🫶 Super appreciated!
March 8, 2025 at 12:48 AM
Thank you so much for all your time, Tiffany 🙏

Is there also anything else we can add in our submissions you’d really like to see/know from us? :)
March 7, 2025 at 11:49 PM
Ah, amazing! Do you have any favourite cosy mystery books/movies or tropes/elements you like to see? And types of FMC?
March 7, 2025 at 10:54 PM
Thank you so much for your thoughtful response! I completely get that—when the vibes just *hit* ✨

How much do you need to love the story/vs seeing the author potential/intention for their career vs QL/synopsis?

If there’s any agent or big five interest, is that also worth mentioning?
March 7, 2025 at 10:51 PM
2. Are you also open to an earlier draft (if we stumbled upon RevPit a little late) but willing to put in all the work? And how do you go about selecting your shortlist, please? :) And, ultimately, your winner?
March 7, 2025 at 10:17 PM
Hi Tiffany! Thank you so much for your time! 🫶 I loved reading your MSWL 🥹

1. Are you open to an #ownvoices YA cosy mystery set in Asia, please? With a diverse cast (ND, queer, BIPOC, multifaith) and themes of coming-of-age, identity, found fam and messy (real) fam + sapphic enemies-to-friends?
March 7, 2025 at 10:12 PM
Hi @demimschwartz.bsky.social! Thank you so much for your time! Would you be open to a YA cosy mystery set outside the US?
March 7, 2025 at 9:38 PM
Thank you so much, Megan! Awesome taste! All of those are on the funnier side, which is great! Appreciate your time heaps 🙏
March 7, 2025 at 12:47 AM
No worries at all. I love the honesty! A few more questions, please:

1. What are some of your favourite mystery books or shows? (YA or otherwise)

2. How do you go about shortlisting submissions? Has there been a common factor/trend with your winners?
March 6, 2025 at 8:05 PM
Amazing! Follow-up please: What are elements of a cosy mystery that would make you flip?
March 6, 2025 at 7:33 PM
Hi Megan! Thanks so much for your time! Are you open to YA cosy mystery? (I saw Adult Cosy Mystery & YA Mystery on your MWSL, but just wanted to check :))
March 6, 2025 at 7:14 PM
Thank you so much, Hannah! I really appreciate your time!Definitely has at least one round of self-edits, but good to check! :)
March 6, 2025 at 9:43 AM
Ah, amazing! Thank you heaps, Hannah! :)

Would you also be open to an earlier draft? If we only stumbled upon Revpit recently, should we mention this?

And if there might be agent/big five editor interest, should we mention this? Or it mightn't factor in your shortlisting?
March 5, 2025 at 10:48 PM
Yes, definitely! It’ll be set in Manila, Philippines with a v homesick and unhappy Filipino-Australian FMC (forced to move from Aus.

Comps are Crazy Rich Asian Asians x Ace of Spades. :)
March 5, 2025 at 10:10 PM
Hi Hannah! Thanks so much for your time. :)

Would a YA cosy mystery set outside the US be of interest?
