We just rewatched that a couple days ago, too. It's one of the films I've been collecting on physical media so I don't have to rely on services to see. Yeah, it's another of those fairly prophetic stories of recent years.

I've felt that way for the last 10 years, never mind the last 5. I'm probably a real exception in that I like to have multiple plays to really feel like I understand something well enough to write something meaningful about it, though.

For me, on Indy it's only Raiders and Blade Runner has to be the director's cut (no voiceover, ends in the elevator) but, yeah, Ford is a good call. Him or Toshiro Mifune.

Joe should definitely be the starting RB until he can't. Solid defensive performance, per usual, and good contributions on offense, as well. Probably Flo's best game in a Liverpool shirt. Cody dropping deeper to help Milos on D is also a good switch. MotM performance, along with his goal and assist.

Been playing decently. Probably Florian's best game in our shirt. Goal was an excellent one, starting with a Jomez long throw, followed by a Cody cutback to Isak who made an excellent finish into the bottom left, just inside the post. Been playing on the counter since then, though. Annoying.

Totally switched to playing on the counter now that we have the lead. That's not only inviting any side to press the issue, but especially a Nuno team that thrives on that kind of scenario (since they often find themselves behind.)

Watched the second half with our son, as he's become a football fan in recent times (Lions.) Could tell Michigan was playing with a gimped offense, so not much could be done. Still not sure why they won't let the QB run, though.

And, having now seen the post, yeah, the rest of that list is bog-standard, top 20 "this is what everyone else says" BGG. Most of the supporters of said games are, indeed, questioning the methodology because of the presence of the best game on that list (i.e. Oath.)
November 29, 2025 at 4:21 PM
Huh. Yeah, that's interesting. If you mean a micro-culture of outspoken Oath players, I can see where that's a thing, depending on the parameters of the scrape. Can't say I've directly encountered it, though. Most of the recos are fairly light, "latest hot thing" Euros, in my experience.

This is what concerns me. It's not just that the players don't seem to be getting what he's instructing them to do, it's that we keep approaching the game in the same way. It's like watching the old parable of hitting your head against the wall and expecting a different result play out in real time.

I don't WANT to sack the guy who just won the PL title. We'll look like Abramovich and no one thought he was rational. But we're past the point of "It's just not working" and on to "This is completely dysfunctional." 3-0 to 18th placed Forest and now 4-1 to an Eredivisie side. 🤷‍♂️

Agree with that. The pacing was rather languid, in that it seemed like they assumed people already knew the story (which many of us do) and this was just the updated visual representation of this thing you already know. Almost fan service.
