Update: Decided on a spreadsheet instead.

This is a Google Docs spreadsheet transcribing all 100+ pages of Dan Pelzer's reading list "What Dan Read, 1962-2025." Feel free to contribute so I don't have to do the entire list myself!

Hell, magats went nuts the time Biden’s press secretary accidentally posted one of his tweets under her own account, as if it were a scandal that he delegated his social media account to his comms people while he was, y’know, busy being president.

“We arrested the girlfriend of one of the founders of antifa and she’s going to tell us about antifa and antifa will be defeated.”
Ralph Wiggum informing his parents that Mrs. Krabappel and Principal Skinner were in the closet making babies and he saw one of the babies and the baby looked at him.

I once had an idea like that involving a Doctor Who/Calvin & Hobbes crossover.

On the other hand, my high school English teacher--my _AP English Literature_ teacher, to be specific--read that poem at my high school graduation ceremony, so you could always pretend "rage, rage" refers not to death at all but...something else entirely? It's been decades but I'm still baffled.

John Wick, Wicker Man, and Wicked make for a *very* odd trilogy.

According to this perfect meme I found on Facebook, it's all Beau Brummell's fault.
A meme showing the evolution of fashion from fancy pre-revolutionary French to drab Regency English.

In honor of National Poetry Day, the greatest parody rewrite of all time:
Screen cap of parodic version of William Blake's "The Tyger" that begins:
Tyger! Tyger! Burning bright
(Not sure if I spelled that right)
What immortal hand or eye
Could fashion such a stripy guy?
What the hammer that hath hewn it
Into such a chonky unit?
Did who made the lamb make thee,
Or an external franchisee?

Makes sense. His doctors probably tiptoed around his initial dementia diagnosis, so he could easily pretend to himself that nothing was wrong, but there’s no way to sugarcoat things with all the secret procedures he has to undergo now.

“It will be very unfair, in the future, when they don’t have “Trump” to fight for them.”

Is he actually admitting he might die someday?

I still haven’t seen Die Hard.

Inspired by a post I just saw in which someone admitted they hadn’t seen a single episode of Friends nor the film Love Actually… what cultural hole do you have that’s a bit weird for your generation?

I’ll go first: I haven’t seen Dirty Dancing.

Getting a new (pre-worn) cornea grafted into my eyeball seems like it should’ve been a bigger deal, but my doctor pretty much just went “cool, when do you want it.”

I just want that same freedom and access for trans people, is all.

After years of wearing special contact lenses to deal with my keratoconus, I told my eye doctor I wanted to go ahead with a corneal transplant. He agreed and we scheduled it for a few weeks later. Simple as that. If I can get my corneas swapped out without a fuss, transitioning should be a breeze.

A traveler from an antique land--great guy--said to me with tears in his eyes "Sir, two vast and trunkless legs of stone stand in the desert." And I said wow, that's really something. But we'll be building a big beautiful statue to my hubris and it will stand for eternity
