Nothing new, per se, for me so far as I’ve read other grading reform books. However, so far I think this may be a great book for the “ok, we agree grading is a problem, what realistic things should we do about it?” crowd.

I also found the parts about grading/motivation reaffirming.

Sooner or later! So far, my favorite grading book is Joe Feldman's book, but I'm enjoying this one as well. I saw Ken speak a few months ago and he was really good.

Katie, your metaphors have always been top-tier (pun intended). This one makes MTSS so tangible! I love how you used specific elements of the metaphor to address common misconceptions about MTSS.

Such a clear, must-read explainer.
