Since the supreme court decision, organisations have faced lobbying and legal threats. But trans people are protected by discrimination law too, says Jess O’Thomson of the Good Law Project

The Australien Government has made an ad about the Social Media Ban for Under-16s, and it's surprisingly honest and informative.

- gingerbread people = ❌ insane woke nonsense intended at grooming children

I'm an author. Everyone who gives my books a 1-star review, which, not to be cocky, is rather rare, I use their name to create a terrible, hated character in my next book who gets killed off most gruesomely. You've been warned.

So love wobbegongs. Everything is good about the wobbegong. Its name. Its flattened Oscar the Grouch face. Its frondy bits. Its lazy life as a hungry rug. And it’s a shark. Outstanding animal 10/10
The Tasselled Wobbegong is a master of disguise that can eat a fish almost as big as itself in one gulp. It's classified as a shark, but when it lays on the sea floor it looks like a harmless rug if you manage to see it. But with powerful jaws and sharp teeth they are no fish to mess with.

In which the columnist's "I reckon" collides with the reporter's actual facts
On a purely factual point, Trevor Phillips’s column in the Times misrepresents our reporting in casting doubts on claims that there were more boys called Patel than Smith at Dulwich in 1980 (we did not report 1976 as the year it occurred). 1980 roll shows 13 Patels and 12 Smiths.

I do think Starmer thinking things were basically fine before does explain a lot tbh
Keir Starmer - "I’ve always wanted a Labour government but I’ve never worried about the future of our country under a Tory government."

The words of a man so insulated from the harm done by the Tories he felt no compulsion not to continue the harm not being done to him and his.

I once did a deeply puerile thing and rang the Home Office to ask for comment on the growing campaign to abolish the Home Office, which was basically "one think tank paper and some posts". The note of genuine panic in the flack's voice is something I cherish to this day. See how you fucking like it.
This is so disgusting.

I am slowly compromising over the years, but I’ve managed to successfully ban Alexa from the house at least. Reading Yanis Varoufakis’ Technofeudalism and the way he apparently spends all day talking to it, feeding it more data, and then complaining about it, I feel that was the right decision
I feel like Commander Adama warning people he won't have a network on the Galactica when I tell my family that under no circumstances will I allow a smart device into my house. No internet connected doorbells, washing machines, air fryers, lightbulbs. None. Not during my watch.

This is a really interesting set of survey results because, on the one hand, GPs are saying that mental health is overdiagnosed while, on the other, they are lamenting the lack of mental health support. Your patients are either faking it or they aren’t, doctor.
