Also, wouldn't the announcement have some impact on house prices anyway? A house just about £2m now would surely just drop below it.l after the announcement?

Weren't there a whole bunch of thee types saying "why do you keen talking Britain down" when Boris was in tenure?
November 24, 2025 at 11:20 AM
And also, will it actually make anyone's lives any better?
November 23, 2025 at 9:46 AM
Isnt this more about trying to create / shift the narrative? They wouldn't realistically expect it to pass.
November 22, 2025 at 10:36 AM
We clearly need, more cowbell.
November 19, 2025 at 8:56 AM
Hi Zoe, please can you do a, or point to a, robust rebuttal of the "they are all economic migrants" comment as it comes up a lot and it would be good to be armed with facts.
November 18, 2025 at 8:16 AM
You're conflating points and creating confusion. It's a lot easier to come from Ireland than it is from Afghanistan.
November 17, 2025 at 8:58 PM
I've not heard the Irish mentioned. This just appears to be conflating different points without any actual evidence to back up.
November 17, 2025 at 8:06 PM
So the source is "I've got a feeling"
November 17, 2025 at 7:37 PM
Where is this economic migrant theory driven from? The idea that someone could risk death just to then get their case thrown out seems ridiculous to me.
November 17, 2025 at 7:25 PM
It's bizarre, when I think all most people really wanted is for a government to be boring and do boring sensible things.
November 17, 2025 at 9:27 AM
It just serves the energize his base and distract from other things in the news.
November 15, 2025 at 7:14 PM
Deathly silence from the audience, are they pondering "are we the baddies"? Nigel obviously senses too, hence the awkward ramble at the end.
November 12, 2025 at 8:33 AM
I would expand: they might solve a problem, but one no one actually wanted or needed solving, like a perceived problem. I worked for a company who had a solution to an expensive process for the oil industry. But the oil industry didn't care it was expensive, they had a solution. (Got sold to rail)

It's hard to convey exactly what what I want to say in a post, criticism is normal and to be expected, but there feels to be an additional undercurrent against Reeves (to me).
November 3, 2025 at 9:52 AM
I agree with the sentiment that Labour are following a very much non-Labour line but I also believe there is an extra level on the attacks on Reeves, for instance, by those who might otherwise support cuts to disability allowance. I think we maybe talking cross purposes.
November 3, 2025 at 9:43 AM
Who's shouting "Misogyny" at everything? I don't believe I've heard male chancellors had their professional qualifications challenged so much: "Rachel from accounts", plus she seems to have so much less wiggle room, the venom of the attacks seem pretty unjustified at times to me.
November 3, 2025 at 8:48 AM
Inagree with misogyny, I think there is a lot of hate, like NI goes up and down, personal NI down, Reeves puts employers NI up (people wanted businesses to pay more) and there is a meltdown of "no money to employ", compare that to energy rises etc, doesn't add up to me.
November 2, 2025 at 10:42 PM
I can't find the appropriate word, but it's just maddening that you're actually posting less about trade, it used to be mostly fact driven trade talk, and now...
November 2, 2025 at 7:50 PM
But the wider point surely is : Why on earth do people care? Who looks at these things and worries if it is 'representative' in this way or not?
October 26, 2025 at 7:14 PM
I also don't understand how this feeds into the "paid blue tick" model. Surely they'll almost immediately lose a load of that?
October 26, 2025 at 7:03 PM
She actually did this with black and pink beads??
October 22, 2025 at 5:30 AM
I initially read that as: "they aren't necessarily wrong, but actually, they are".
