Senator for New York's 42nd District and DNC’s People’s Cabinet | The views expressed are strictly my own.
Huge thanks to @democrats.org Chairman @kenmartin.bsky.social for naming me to the DNC’s Executive Committee as an At-Large Member.

This DNC is laser-focused on organizing against Trump’s authoritarianism as well as rebuilding our party’s big tent. Honored to be on Chair Martin’s team.

Some DNC news via @adamwren.bsky.social at @politico.com. Very grateful to @kenmartin.bsky.social for appointing me to the DNC’s People’s Cabinet.

The only thing dropping faster than Donald Trump’s approval ratings is Tesla’s stock.

People are waking up and we will hold this administration accountable every day. We won’t bend the knee to a king in this country.

750+ people showed up in the small Village of Warwick because we all deeply believe in what Benjamin Franklin said in 1787 at the conclusion of the Constitutional Convention: America would be a republic. If we could keep it.

We will never bend a knee to a king. Or wannabe king.

Let’s talk about the affordability in the Senate’s proposed budget. From toll relief, to senior support, to school funding, it just makes sense to invest in New York.

It’s time for Orange County to finally part ways with the MTA. Earlier today, I introduced legislation to withdraw from the MTA that does little more than treat our community like an ATM. 🧵

Congratulations to my good friend, and now our DNC Chair, @kenmartin.bsky.social, on a hard-fought, decisive win! His win is OUR win!

Let’s now unite and work together to ensure Dems come roaring back, compete everywhere, and start WINNING AGAIN.

A day of remembrance and celebration of Dr. King’s enduring legacy.

🧵 I started this race as a complete unknown outside of NY, and I’m proud of our aggressive campaign to deliver major change to the DNC.

It is with the only goal in sight that matters – winning elections – that I am throwing my full support to @kenmartin.bsky.social, the next Chair of the DNC.

National Democrats have lost trust with many voters - on both sides of tough issues - because they’ve been unwilling to meaningfully engage in difficult conversations.

As Chair, I will seek common ground, lead with people’s stories, and stop letting our opponents steer the narrative.
January 10, 2025 at 10:43 PM
The Democratic Party needs to go on offense.

As Chair, I will build a significantly larger team of in-house lawyers to take the fight to the Republican Party, the Green Party, and anyone trying to make it harder to vote.

Honored to be sworn today in for another term representing part of the Hudson Valley.

Let’s get to work.

First day of school? Nope! It’s first day of session. Off to Albany this morning!
January 8, 2025 at 2:38 PM
For DNC Chair, if you want someone who promotes having just lost their state - but by a small margin - then I'm not your guy. I care about winning, not losing by less.
January 8, 2025 at 1:46 AM
As DNC Chair I will put organized labor at the front and center of our party’s leadership and message. That’s how we reconnect with working class voters.
January 7, 2025 at 6:31 PM
As someone who knows a few things about winning tough elections in both houses of my state legislature, my eyes are on Virginia tomorrow for the first real test of Democratic strength since the November election.

On Day 1, we need to re-assess all vendor contracts at the DNC, from the office supplies to 7-figure deals for DC consultants.

Those resources need to go to state & county parties, and organized labor––the boots on the ground that will get folks back under our once-big tent.

We’re an outsider movement, but our message is resonating. 40 members of the DNC want to continue the conversation about transforming our party into an organization that can compete everywhere again—and win! I look forward to making my case to Democrats at the DNC chair candidate forums in January.
December 9, 2024 at 8:39 PM
One way we can get back to winning? Start sending resources to our boots on the ground: the state & local parties.

We've got to stop lighting money on fire by sending it all to the DC consultant class who've been ripping off our party for far too long. @newsnation.bsky.social

Just participated in an incredible forum with the @youngdems.bsky.social, sharing my vision for the future of our party which includes investing in the future of our party: young people.
December 8, 2024 at 1:13 AM
The DNC needs wholesale change to meet the moment we’re in, and the best person to deliver that is an outsider with a record of winning.

As chair, I will bring a fresh perspective and a commitment to competing everywhere.

Greenwood Lake Theater is a gem right here in our backyard - a professional outfit located in the Warwick area. They are doing fantastic work and I am proud to support their theater programs with a $10,000 grant secured through my office.
