Greyhound/cat dad. Central PA. My personal views do not reflect my employer, because they are not mirrors or the calm waters of a beautiful lake in some cheesy AI art.
Liking Bea's vibe there.

I have a journalism degree and deeply hate "media" as a homogenous descriptor so appreciate "some" but it seems like there is a part of journalism filled with amoral, broken people. I started seeing it with COVID and more recently, stuff like Bari Weiss saying, "What is the point of standards?"

It's just like how the Northwestern shit was about "anti-Semitism." It's about trying to eradicate an entire type of people and it's horrible. I'm really sorry this is happening.

"Your brain broke our machine it can never be recalibrated to measure normal human brains can we have 5 million to buy a new one, so I gave them it right there they really appreciated it and added how could Hillary have defeated this brain in 2020 just impossible many people are saying.

Love the stuff but on a sandwich, not on me.

I'm unsure how to feel about it. I work as a science writer at a university (Penn State), and I've seen both here and among the faculty I work with mixed reports about this. Some feel it's exaggerated, some feel it's bad. I think what you are saying has a lot of validity, though.

Objectively, A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving is the best Peanuts holiday special.

I'll add that I am also a comm guy (at Penn State but live in a tiny town 10 miles west of the U), so it makes it extra frustrating. In addition, the level of poverty in rural PA, especially in the counties surrounding Centre, is pretty bad, so a good policy plus good messaging could be worth it.
November 25, 2025 at 9:51 PM
As a Dem living in rural central PA, I can say that this was already done under Biden. However, the messaging sucked so no one knew about it. Trust me, you are fighting 24/7 Fox News, it's everywhere, in every waiting room, bar, pizza place, etc. You need a perfect effort in such an environment.

Wait until Bari finds out how the 2025 election went.

It's very jarring that he is so correct on so many things and then he drops this on us.

I can't decide which is crazier, the idea that your Rogue One take is rage bait for bucks or your Rogue One take.

Looking at the reaction to Jamelle's biscuit post: Look at these tiresome jackasses ruining this wonderful post

Looking at the reaction to Jamelle's woefully misinformed Rogue One take: Get his ass

Someone get Massie on this possible Epstein associates/humiliated defensive coordinators connection.

Yeah, how would they like it if a giant spider showed up and grabbed their neighborhood and started shaking it.

One of my college friends, who is now a Dem, was a Reagan conservative back in the 80s and I really wish I had recorded our stoned debates on Reagan just for his part of it. Comic gold.
November 20, 2025 at 2:33 PM
It's even worse than that. A fundamentalist protestant like Johnson doesn't go to confession; that's a Catholic thing. He thinks that as long as he considers himself a Christian, when he dies, Jesus will tell him "all good, man" so he can more or less do whatever.
