🔎 Murder at the Matinee starts when a mysterious newspaper advertisement appears.

A few weeks ago I got the news that Murder at the Matinee was shortlisted for the inaugural Whodunnit Dagger at this year’s @thecwa.bsky.social awards. In a week or two from now, we’ll know who the winner is!

Absolutely loved A QUEER CASE from Robert Holtom which is coming out 3rd June ❤️

In the novel, the queer world of 1920s London is wonderfully evoked and the murder mystery contained is twisty and brilliant!

Getting reacquainted with Murder at the Matinee for my Noir at the Bar reading at Bodies in the Bookshop where the in-person launch of National Crime Read Month will be held this Saturday!

Some very light editing makes Chapter 1 a nice tight five minutes! ⏱️

Took my book back to the scene of the crime! 🔎

Death on the Pier is my golden-age historical crime novel set in the world of 1930s theatre. At the time of my book, there was still a theatre at the end of the Palace Pier.

📖 All good books need a bookmark!

Now what to do with them all… Any authors have tips?

I presume it’s frowned upon to pop in to Waterstones and slip one into each of the top 20 books? 😂

I know I’ve already mentioned it (once or twice), but the CWA just sent me through an official longlisted badge… So I’m shouting about it again 😂

If I was at the first awards dinner back in 1956, I might have met Agatha Christie!

Just finished The Serial Killer’s party by @sarahgoodwinauthor.bsky.social and it’s a brilliantly tense read!

A barrister goes “undercover” at an exclusive party hosted by a billionaire to solve the mystery of her missing sister.

E-book arrives on 8th May and the paperback in July.

Make your voice heard tomorrow 📣

Can you imagine the outrage from Disney if Meta had used a bunch of pirated films to train their AI models?

Just because it’s text, these AI companies think they can take it for free.
