Man I'm so bad about using this app but hey here's another WIP. this is Kevin, the Himalayan monal. I'm doing this in a mix of DMC cotton and Devere silks, #handembroidery single strand. I hope to enter this for a gallery showing this year!

She's done! 1.5 months, 71 colors(73 if you count the Gutterman spools), single strand #handembroidery . This is Puteri, a 1.5 year old sumatran tiger at the San Diego Safari Park! My first two tiger portraits were, coincidentally, of her parents. I'll be sharing comparisons with those soon!

Back with another update on this #handembroidery piece! I really only had the energy to do the ear today but I'm sooo close to being done... I won't have a lot of time to work on it over the next week, but maybe I'll have this done in two.

Another update on the princess! I'm stoked I really feel like it's moving now! I'm loving how the two sides of her face are interacting with the color palettes I'm using. #handembroidety #fiberarts

Put in 4ish hours on this today. Starting on the ruff, filled the snout, and fixed some areas that were bothering me. This is tricky because I have to work in a specific order, in layers basically, for it to look natural. Goal is to work on that chest and shoulder next so I can fill it out "forward"

Anyway I stood beneath a 110 year old fig tree, walked the art district from studio to studio, spoke to artists, bought art, went to museums, and finished it off with some delicious fish tacos and a marg to myself. San Diego was where I learned to LOVE my own company and that still stands

Progress on Puteri! This is my last bit of work on it for about a week and a half. I'm happy with the progress today, but not sure how I'm feeling about this overall just yet. Trusting the process is my greatest challenge. #handembroidery

Hand embroidered red panda with a 3d turkey work tail 🥰 single strand DMC in a 5 inch hoop. I did this one to try and get better at smaller color palettes and quicker projects. About 2wks work, I'm going to be turning this one into a pattern 😁 #embroidery

This is a stylized piece I finished for the winter solstice. I loved trying to work with a limited palette on this one(and I was dying to do eye shine spoookyyyy). Hand embroidered, single strand DMC.

I literally said last night to my husband "it will be back within the week and he will use it as a political power move to claim he saved it." You could see from a mile away this is what he and meta were setting it up for. people will believe it. If this is what the app is now, I don't want it.

Anyway this is the current WIP. I know for sureeee this is going to take me forever. But I'm also trying to actually record my progress instead of waking up one day like "it's done!"

Well. For the first time I've scrapped and gone to completely start over a piece. Those eyes were just not what I wanted them to be and I know I can do better. Which is why I always start with them, so at least it was just 2 hours of work vs 20 eh?
