"By cementing ‘voluntary’ mass scanning, they are legitimizing the warrantless, error-prone mass surveillance of millions of Europeans by US corporations, while simultaneously killing online anonymity through the backdoor of age verification." www.patrick-breyer.de/en/reality-c...
Reality Check: EU Council Chat Control Vote is Not a Retreat, But a Green Light for Indiscriminate Mass Surveillance and the End of Right to Communicate Anonymously
Contrary to headlines suggesting the EU has "backed away" from Chat Control, the negotiating mandate endorsed today by EU ambassadors in a close split vote paves the way for a permanent infrastructure...

Samaan aikaan tuskailevat, kun kotitaloudet ovat haluttomia kuluttamaan. Onkohan näillä asioilla jokin yhteys?

So basically it's "sissitakki" made with modern materials? And I suddenly realized I need one of those.

Modern armies are very good at preventing enemy from using railroads if they so choose. They can destroy bridges, collapse tunnels, and so on. Compatibility may be more important, but considering that Finland has very little rail connectivity with the Europe, this change is not urgent at all.

I'm sorry to say, but Europe needs to distance itself from the US quickly. Not only militarily, but also when it comes to the economy, especially digital economy. We're now binding ourselves to the US data centers and services the same way we did with Russian oil and gas previously. This is bad.

This is like some genre of dystopian fiction that should exist but currently doesn't.

Also, when they make reboots they should pick a series that had potential but the time was wrong, or the implementation was flawed, or it just didn't find enough audience back then. Battlestar Galactica (despite its cult following) comes to mind as a reboot done well.
