I genuinely don't understand the snobbery. We are all writers with the same goal: Get our writing out to readers. We are on the same team. A rising tide lifts all boats.

I try to focus this account so it's for my readers, but hey writers:

NEVER sign a contract where the publisher keeps your rights indefinitely. For short stories, there should be a point when you can sell reprints.

and NEVER sign your movie/TV/etc adaptation rights to a publisher. Those are yours.

This season of my writing life is all about putting my thoughts into poetry and songs, which I haven't written in almost 30 years. If I get enough of them together, I might self-publish a poetry book.

He will do *anything* to stay out of prison. The only way he can do that is to stay POTUS until he dies. We don't hold elections during martial law. That's why he told people, "They never have to vote again." He wants a 2nd. revolution/civil war, so he can declare martial law. Ignore him.

Exactly. I had to explain to people what "redress of grievances" means just the other day. They were shocked. They said they never heard of it. It's in the very 1st. Amendment.

Yep. I don't think many of them have EVER read it for themselves. It's obvious they have no clue what it actually says or understand what any of it means.

It's painful to exist these days.

When I was in high school 25 years ago, my history teacher made us memorize the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and historical events by who was POTUS at the time. We learned far more than the bare minimum facts in the state-issued textbook. I never forgot. Thank you, Mr. Meixner.

An uneducated society is easily controlled by the government. Adults who can't read the Declaration of Independence or the Constitution don't know their rights. They vote according to their feelings, not facts. This explains what has happened in education and this country in the last decade.
