The data came from Databricks and was too slow to process repeatedly there. So we yanked it out for a one time IO cost and now have super fast access.

Wait, do you mean generating the pmtiles or mbtiles from postgis and moving them to a file server has been faster than using martin?

I've found it slow to use Tippecanoe to generate the pmtiles. But really want to use them. Do you have a better way to generate the file? The data are in postgis FWIW.

For better or worse, it's a standard @vscode.dev feature. So out of the box people probably expect positron to behave the same way. I have mixed feelings about it but it generally doesn't bother me.
