Yeah and I dont think its always like, deliberately harmful or cynical when it's done. Again, I think its that normalisation thing. It becomes so ubiquitous that people that sorta - "well I see it everywhere so it must be fine/acceptable".

I think its probably something to do with the scale, availability and regurgitation of visual porn everywhere on the Internet. When there are entire sites dedicated to porn gifs it can put a lot of distance and a lot of steps between the creator and the person downloading the gifs to post.

Ultimately I think its because that kind of content gets engagement. Think of the number of people you see reposting porn gifs with no accreditation. Accounts become huge with that stuff. But imagine someone did that with peoples audios. Or the lewds on their personal platforms.

Honestly I think people repost this kind of content mostly because its normalised behaviour. Wrongly so, to my mind. Back on twitter it was extremely common. I was guilty of posting porn gifs from places like sex/./com attached with quotes and things like that. I stopped doing that but its common.
