Seleste is entirely reactive to Ambrose. That's all her character is. We barely know anything about her family. They come out briefly to show how upset she is about them not accepting that she doesn't have magic and then they go away. There's nothing else going on outside of them being together. There are multiple times jumps that bring them back to his burrow. There's so much telling about what happens when they're not together, but we don't get to see any of it! Seleste goes out of town with her family. Do we get to see ANY of it?? Nope. Ambrose is without her for weeks, and do we get to see what he does?? Nope. They're fated mates, and that's it. There's nothing else going for them as individuals. Honestly, maybe she should have fucked him in unicorn form. That would have at least been interesting.

I was up until, like, 3 am reading this. I regret it. 3 stars...and I'm sooo disappointed. I would throw it down the stairs if I had the physical copy. Mediocre 😒

It was a fast read and hard to put down but also kind of empty. There are multiple times skips that are one month or longer. The characters are basic af. You have the golden retriever, the level- headed one, the hot-head, the annoying one, and a hot and cold MC with not much going on. It's a series, but I at least expected more on the MC. Everything about him is surface level. He's a vlogger and live streamer, okay, but what does he do? Is he a daily vlogger?? But what is he vlogging because his "friends" aren't around much. He's in a frat. Okay, and? We don't talk about it at all. He's into fashion and is pre-med. 🤷🏾‍♀️ Pretty much the only scenes described in detail were the sex scenes. He wants revenge. Awesome! Do we get explore his planning? Nope. We just jump ahead by a few months. He's possessed by a goddess. Do we get to see how he adjusts?? Nope. He's stuck with a bunch of guys. Do we get to see how he adjusts to that and being in a new place? Nope. Wtf is he even doing all this time?! Just hanging out in his room and waiting for sex? What are the guys doing?! Do they have friends, hobbies, jobs?! They're just around. The more I talk about it, the more annoyed I get. Oh, not to mention the old as fuck vampire twins that showed up when the MC was 15. They're all in college together when the book starts. How does that work out? No one noticed these two guys never aged? The MC didn't notice!!?? Did they reverse age and then grow up again?! Tf I did really like the idea, and I loved the goddess and the MC. He's actually pretty funny, and I appreciate it that, even months later, he doesn't forgive the guys or Sarah for what they did. The sex scenes were fun
