I can tell you, as a former attorney whose main job was to get protesters out of jail and who still does that work pro bono, there is a distinct lack of urgency (and just as likely, a distinct fear) in the activist space right now, especially as compared to the threat. We are losing.

Unfortunately, I don’t think people are going to start caring about the masked men until the people they start grabbing are white. So long as they stick to non-white people, the vast majority will just shrug and go about their day.

I wanted to go to St. John’s to study the great books, but I let my working class (and now firmly MAGA) family talk me out of it to pursue something more “practical.” I have regretted it ever since.

How is this repeatedly made into a policy issue - by *all* parties - when the blunt fact of the matter is that grown adults who are obliged to pay for their own education, and relentlessly pursued to repay their loans, should be able to study whatever the fuck they want.
