Today marks 106 years since my great uncle, PVT Sylvester Stephen Payne, died of pneumonia in France on the final day of WWI. His last letter home to his father, my great grandfather, was written two months earlier.

This right here pretty much sums up where we are as a country.
Yeah, it is shocking how one evil man was able to so thoroughly corrupt so much of America. Well, more accurately, he revealed the corruption that had already been festering below the surface waiting for the opportunity to bubble over. He gave the worst of America permission to behave badly. 💔
No matter how long I live after we get through this dark chapter, I will never get over the immorality, the amorality, the corruption, the criminality and the cruelty in service to one of the worst humans to ever walk the earth.

With so much abuse of power by ICE around the country, it’s important to remember there are plenty of DHS employees performing their duties in a respectful manner. And without a paycheck. Kudos to the CBP officer at Newark airport who conducted our return interview yesterday. He thanked us!
