I love how good of an eater she is! She LAUNCHED at the mouse so hard that she almost flew out of the enclosure. She's a Cape African House Snake and I always think it's wild how she flings herself at food with what seems like reckless abandon.

I love how good of an eater she is! She LAUNCHED at the mouse so hard that she almost flew out of the enclosure. She's a Cape African House Snake and I always think it's wild how she flings herself at food with what seems like reckless abandon.

Pelegrina aeneola (a jumping spider with no common name) glows yellow under UV light.
Pedipalps are brightest, but the inside of the joints and patterns on the underside of the abdomen also glow.

I bought a bulk pack of eight 4" cube acrylic boxes for $20, made a hole template, drilled cross ventilation holes, and coated floor, ceiling, and back wall with gorilla glue, coir, and some rocks and twigs for hides. Sphagnum for humidity.

4 months after adopting this mature male Orange Baboon Tarantula I'm finally seeing him out and about! I usually only see legs sticking out of his burrow, and feeders disappear when I'm away. Now he's hanging out outside his burrow when I'm in the room.
