Just realized I didn’t post the finished version:

My fear is those turned away from Central and South American countries will be detained indefinitely in camps and used for free labor.

I’ve been trying to pray similarly. That God would bring repentance.

Far right groups have expressed that they recognized that gesture for what it is: a signal that this administration will be friendly to their cause. This rally only underscores that message. Our grandfathers fought against this scourge in WWII. We can’t afford to look the other way.

By the way, there is no basis in ancient Rome for the “Roman salute.” It is an apocryphal invention and popularized in later art. It rose to popularity in the Italian and German fascist parties. Basically the sieg heil and so-called “Roman Salute” are one and the same. ⬇️

Just removed a childhood friend on FB for just that reason today. He’d been condescending and snarky one time too many and kept doubling down.
