It's probably worth looking at that language in concert with the national level effort to define down what counts as a "professional degree" as well.

What’s most alarming is how few people in these professions, especially at the top, are interested in fighting for their professional autonomy and values. And how unorganized and unprepared for this the rank and file have been for the most part.

When people insist we have to learn to live with people saying things we disagree with, this is what they’re referring to euphemistically. They’re telling you we have to accept the idea of bigotry as a valid political position.

In the case of Twitter the platform incentives are set by an overt Far Right actor, so we do have a problem on both axes. But it also doesn't really reflect realities on the ground at all. Might shape them over time though, which is the scary part to me.

You would think that siding with clergy in this case and context would make you *more* likely to become President in this environment, but the kind of Dem political consultants you acquire once you really want to be President sure as shit wouldn’t.

These guys are all far more interested in winning the internal battle against the online leftists who annoy them than actually beating their real political opponents who are currently well into the project of dismantling our society and selling it for parts.
