The Social Security COLA for 2026 is 2.8%. But the base Medicare Part B premium will increase from $185 to 202.90, a jump of 9.7%. More seniors will end up in poverty, while the gilded ballroom is presumably being built, and lavish parties likely abound at Mar-a-Lago.

Apparently the people at the US Department of Energy never heard of — the battery. They’re largest “batteries” look nothing like what most people think of a battery. It’s called pumped storage. Plentiful solar electricity pumps water uphill to be let downhill when needed. Like at night. Science.
