For comparison, every robotic mission NASA has ever sent in its history, from the dawn of the Space Age 65 years ago to today, from Mercury to Pluto and beyond, has cost less than $40B.

I know which one has done more for humankind and which one should be dismantled.
Mark Zuckerberg’s gamble on the ‘Metaverse’ has cost Meta more than $77B

The company now plans to cut spending on it and shift focus to AI wearables instead

It is an absolutely delightful irony that the richest man in the world is universally acknowledged to be a huge fucking loser who not a single living person envies in any way at all
Remember folks: if you have any small amount of artistic talent, any sex appeal, or can make your friends laugh, the richest man on earth is crying screaming throwing up because he can’t be you.

I can’t get over how Barbie succeeded because it offered tangible ways for women and girls to celebrate each other (and dress up and go to the movies together) but studios thought it worked because it’s about toys so now they’re making like Bananagrams the movie

After a banner year of Warner Bros putting unique, filmmaker driven original movies into theaters and getting giant audience turn out for them, the corporation that now owns them would like you to know that actually you didn’t like this and that what you really wanted was to watch at home.

I've said this before, but there are two kinds of people in the world.

- People who have suffered or been traumatized by something, and think it's unfair unless everyone else also suffers
- People who have suffered or been traumatized by something and don't want anyone else to experience that.

Goodbye theatrical releases, physical media, and auteur swings. Hello monopolies, algorithmic slop, and the furthering of a dumbed down anti-art society.

God, I’m really upset how much hate I know Starfleet Academy is going to get. It’s Star Trek made for the CW-style crowd, which is PERFECTLY FINE. But because it’s not intended as mass audience aimed mainly at boomer dudes, it’s gonna face so much vitriol. Especially those kid actors. Angers me.

Idk, maybe I am just built different, but I am never going to be mad or upset that a new #StarTrek show is airing episodes, regardless of its intended audience.

Don't you think it's time put a wrap on corporate greed and exploitation?

I mean, definitely should have switched already but your Wrapped cutoff week is probably the best time.

There are also services that will transfer all your playlists over for like $5. I cancelled Spotify, subbed to Tidal, and imported my playlists on the bus, on mobile, in under 20 minutes.
