Buster Posey on if he'd listen to Eldridge trade talk: "I think he's got a chance to be one of the biggest impact bats for the next 10 to 15 years in the big leagues, potentially. We'll listen, but we like him a lot." Added Giants can make it work with Devers/Eldridge at 1B/DH.

“An official response consisting of repudiation and slander constitutes a frontal assault on accountability. When any effort to question a policy or action is met with a denunciation intended to ridicule the questioner … the official act skates past unexamined.”

Trump’s ‘quiet, piggy’ jab at a female reporter is much more than a personal insult
OPINION: The remark was an expression of disdain meant to undermine a basic practice that lies at the core of the relationship between the public and the powerful in a democracy.

“It depends on what the meaning of the word 'is' is.”
So, the way they're going to parse this is that Hegseth didn't say "kill them all," he said "destroy the boat and everyone in it." This is like his Signalgate argument that he didn't release classified info...
...because he declassified it
WaPo is reporting that Bradley told lawmakers that Hegseth DID give a kill order.

There’s something doubly grating about the pious invocation of “Western civilization” by the sort of incurious dolt who wouldn’t know a Titian canvas, a Beethoven quartet, or a Socratic dialogue if whapped them upside the head.
It has long been clear that unalloyed racism lies at the core of Trumpism, and he is becoming increasingly explicit about this.
